- I wouldn't be too sure of this. Lightwave? StormC? Final Writer? TurboCalc?
- Saying there isn't enough is easy, but saying there is nothing is downright
- stupid. There are other, much more positive developments but in my case it
- wouldn't be proper to discuss them.

- You're trying to troll us, right? Listen to Windows 95 power users who only now
- start to realize how much they prefer their Amigas (thank you Bill!), or Linux
- users bragging about pathetic kludges that still outshine the rest of the UNIX
- world in elegance, or look at the disappointed faces of Acorn users when they
- think they can do something that we can't, and you will discover that the Amiga
- offers a lot that you can't get from the PC.
-
- The fact that you don't understand what it is is your own problem. Don't try to
- force your personal decision on those who do. It gives you that "clueless" aura
- that's so hard to get rid of.
-
- "PC's are compatible"... Don't make me laugh! Go on, say it: "PC's are *PC*
- compatible". PC's can run the same software as <gasp> PC's! Here the crowd
- starts oo-ing and aah-ing. The PC meanwhile stops multitasking and quietly
- brings up a requester complaining about its mouse disagreeing with the graphics
- card.

-
- Ah, a dEm0 k0d3r. That might explain it. But wait! "We can't win",
- "we can't win", "we can't win. I've left the Amiga and I'm so happy now"...
- Where have I heard that phrase before? Have Microsoft opened a new Ministry of
- Information in Finland or something? Posting from outside the US doesn't mean
- it can't be paid work.
-
- Or are the Iowa Boys on a working holiday to hit us with their filth from a
- different direction? "I'm really convinced now that the Amiga is dead, really.
- It used to be just the people between Omaha and Chicago who say that, but now
- all of a sudden the Fins seem to agree!"

- keeping them consistent.

-
- Strange as this may sound: You're alone, pal. The PC market is now about 10%
- below expectations from one year to another. Sales of 32-bit applications and
- upgrades are up to 90% below expectations (eg. for Corel). With profit margins
- shaved as close as they are in the PC market, hardware manufacturers like Intel
- and Philips and DEC and IBM are experiencing severe disappointments even causing
- stock markets to drop throughout the western world. Writing this hurts me a lot
- less than it's likely to hurt you.
